<description><![CDATA[<b>Tender Details : </b> Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced civil contractors to submit tenders for this package of natural disaster reconstruction works. The works consist of sealed and unsealed road repairs, earthworks and civil drainage works. It is anticipated that the works will commence in 2026 and be completed no later than the end of June 2027. Contractors will need to consider the North Queensland wet season and whether the scope of works can be completed in 2026 or whether a second mobilisation will be required in following the upcoming wet season 2027.<br /><br />Prospective Tenderers should note that access to Palm Island is by barge, ferry and air services, and should familiarise themselves with the available services prior to submitting their tender.
