• Works Package C — Planned Tree Maintenance

This procurement may result in the award of a single contract with one organization providing all three works packages or three separate agreements with each providing a works package. Tenderers will have the option to tender for any or all of the works packages A, B and C.

The Council will enter into an Agreement for these Services with the successful Tenderer for a term of two years with two 12-month optional extensions.

The design seeks road upgrade that improves road safety, strengthens pedestrians/cyclist comfort & connectivity, and caters for increase in traffic from the adjoining developments.

Hawthorn road has been a concern for the community for many years, with road safety issue, failing pavement, narrow lanes and very minimal pedestrian/ cyclist consideration throughout the length. The Adelaide/Hawthorn Road intersection is a DIT asset and is planned to be upgraded in the near future, with upgrades affecting surrounding local streets near Hawthorn Road. With the increase in development and upgrades scheduled, Hawthorn Road is likely to be a key collector or even sub-arterial road in the future, so it is critical for the road to be adequately upgraded.
