Question:
We are a specialist microtunnelling contractor with a strong track record delivering complex trenchless infrastructure projects, including previous capital works for Townsville City Council.

We note that the Schedule of Rates requests fixed unit rates based on pipe diameter. As our pricing is highly dependent on project-specific factors such as ground conditions, installation length, depth, location, access constraints, and overall complexity, we are unable to provide meaningful rates on this basis. Each project is individually assessed and priced accordingly.

Could you please confirm whether the panel is intended to include specialist trenchless contractors who price works on a project-by-project basis? If so, would Council accept a submission with the non-price deliverables completed without the Schedule of Rates, with pricing to be provided for individual opportunities as they arise?

We are keen to participate in the panel and would appreciate your feedback.

Project specific tenders are released separately to this panel.
