The Shire of Winton is a local government area in Central West Queensland, Australia. It covers an area of 62,000.7 square kilometres (23,938.6 sq mi), and has existed as a local government entity since 1887. Its administrative centre is located in the town of Winton. It is named after Winton, Dorset, England, the birthplace of Robert Allen, the first white settler in the Winton (Queensland) area.

The Works generally comprise the loading and transportation of approximately 14,000 m³ of material from Scrubby Creek at approximately Ch 20 on Winton–Jundah Road to the designated works area extending from approximately Ch 71,178 to Ch 78,436 on Winton–Jundah Road, including delivery and tipping of the material at locations nominated by the Principal.

Winton Shire Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the Winton–Jundah Road Project – Material Haulage Works, being undertaken as part of the Roads of Strategic Importance (ROSI) funded Winton–Jundah Road Project.
