All contractors may be given the opportunity to quote on tree removals. All works are to be performed in accordance with AS4373-2007 – Pruning of Amenity Trees, with all resulting debris chipped and removed from site by the contractor either to Councils nominated site or other location. The contractor is responsible for supplying all plant, equipment, and qualified personnel, with a minimum qualification of Certificate III (AQF) in Arboriculture, and preference given to Certificate V (AQF) in Arboriculture or equivalent experience in relevant fields.

Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
Nambucca Valley Council requires professional arboriculture services to manage, maintain, and enhance the health and safety of trees within Council-managed reserves, streetscapes, and public areas. These services are essential to ensure public safety, protect assets, maintain visual amenity, and support the ecological health of urban and natural tree populations. The existing arboriculture contract has expired, and a new procurement process is required to ensure continuity of service, compliance with Council’s workplace health and safety obligations, and value for money. The services contribute to Council’s broader environmental and asset management objectives, including risk mitigation, community amenity, and preservation of the local urban landscapes.
