The City of Gold Coast is conducting a Expression of Interest to:

• Confirm market interest, capability and capacity to deliver the Pimpama Operational Depot

• Understand contractor availability and delivery approach

• Identify contractors with relevant experience in depot, industrial or operational facility construction

• Obtain early market input on constructability, staging and program considerations

• Assess local presence and ability to support value for money outcomes

• Shortlist suitably qualified respondents for a subsequent Select Tender process

The project involves the upgrade and expansion of the existing Pimpama Operational Depot, including the delivery of a new State Emergency Service (SES) facility within the site. The works comprise a combination of building, civil and site infrastructure works, including operational and administrative facilities, hardstand and pavement areas, internal roads, parking, site access upgrades, security infrastructure and associated services.

The Pimpama Operational Depot forms part of the City of Gold Coast’s Depot Capital Works Program, established to modernise the City’s depot network and improve operational service delivery. The program responds to identified infrastructure gaps, including facilities that are not consistently fit-for-purpose and require upgrades to support current and future operational needs.

Within the current program, the Pimpama Operational Depot has been identified as the only facility to be delivered via an open market procurement process and external delivery partner at this stage, reflecting its scale, complexity and strategic importance.
