Dear Council,

We are reviewing the tender documentation for TEN/2746 – George/Targo Street Intersection and Culvert Upgrade and request clarification on the following items to ensure accurate pricing and staging.

Part 1- The BOQ includes removal of the existing median slab, but we cannot locate any line item for construction of the new infill median.

Please confirm the correct BOQ item for the new median infill, or advise if it is excluded.

Part 2- Section 3.6 requires George Street to be opened before 18 December 2026.

Please confirm whether this requires temporary pavement only, or all permanent asphalt layers.

Please confirm whether the raised pedestrian facility/hump must be completed before 18 December, or can be delivered during the 11 Jan – 23 Apr 2027 works period.

Part 3 -BOQ Item 30464.01 – Precast concrete access chambers (1050 dia):

Are these Principal-supplied or Contractor-supplied?

Please provide additional information relating to the following:

1. Water diversion of the existing channel will be required when demolishing and reconstruction fthe culvert. Is there any water modelling on the volume of water we should expect through the culvert channel?

2. Can council provide a list of all the council supplied materials that will be provided, including Size and weight of the culverts for cranage purposes.

3. Interface joint details for tie ins of the asphalt have not been provided. Can this be shared (if available).

4. The Watermain relocation will require 2 relocations. The first relocation will be a temporary relocation prior to the demolition of the existing culvert. The second relocation will be upon completion of the new culvert. Confirm that this is the intent of Council.

5. The open channel walls adjacent to the culverts will need to be constructed to transition from the culverts to the channel walls. The channel wall details have not been provided. Can you provide this detail and thickness of the concrete structure and what finish is required.

Please provide additional information relating to the following:

1. Pay item 50001.01 refers to Demolition of Road furniture as listed in Clause 3 of Annexure 14.1. There are no items listed in the specification. Can you please confirm which road furniture items are to be demolished.

2. Will Council accept Precast stormwater pits for Gully pits and Access chambers in lieu of In-situ pits?

3. The concrete apron channel to the roundabout has no detail attached to the drawings and does not seem to be captured in the BOQ (approx 150m2). Please confirm the thickness of the concrete profile and which line item it will represent in the BOQ (noting that the BOQ item may need adjustment to include this item).

The kerb & channel ceases through the Raised Pedestrian Crossing. The drawings state that the kerb is to transition to edge strip at back of the crossing. The concrete edge strip has not been captured in the BOQ schedules and should be adjusted to be included. Please confirm Council's intention at the Raised Pedestrian Crossing.
