Details
The Town of Port Hedland has successfully secured Black Spot Program funding to deliver upgrades to the Demarchi Road–Murdoch Drive and Buttweld Road–North Circular Road intersections.

The Town is now seeking suitably qualified contractors to undertake the intersection upgrades while meeting the prescribed grant funding milestones.

The Demarchi Road–Murdoch Drive intersection upgrade (Separable Portion 1) comprises widening the existing intersection to incorporate a median island on Demarchi Road, improving lane discipline and traffic movements. The works also include widening Murdoch Drive and constructing a new pavement layer with bituminous treatments to facilitate safe traffic flow.

The Buttweld Road–North Circular Road intersection upgrade (Separable Portion 2) involves widening the existing intersection to accommodate a median island on Buttweld Road, facilitating safer and more controlled traffic movements.

Question:
Good Morning

1) We wish to request an Extension of Time of 5 business days for this tender to allow time to receive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers for this project and prepare complete pricing submission.

2) Drawing CI-300-RD-P02 - Limestone Subbase - please confirm crushed rock subbase is a suitable alternative to the specific 210mm crushed limestone subbase.

With respect to drawing 24-10-147/401 Rec 1 (Buttweld Rd Intersection) - Inset for Median Island - Please confirm any colour requirements for the flush concrete portion of the island. Please confirm if reinforcement is required for the flush portion of the island and if so provide details.
