Details
This tender is to procure a contractor for the design and construction of remediation works for the Creek Street landslip located in Nambucca Heads, NSW 2448. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all associated temporary works and project management responsibilities. The awarded contractor must have previous experience with GC21 Contract for design and construction works. They must also show Piling and Geotech design experience and demonstrated capability with their submission.

Key Scope Elements

• Remediation of the landslip which has been assessed as medium to high risk.

• Design of the slope remediation solution to stabilise the existing slip and reinstate the full operational functionality of Creek Street.

• Construction and implementation of the approved design, including all required temporary works, following acceptance of the concept and detailed design by the Principal.

• Inclusions to be allowed for within the Contract Price along with all other contract obligations;

• Installation, monitoring, and maintenance of erosion and sediment control measures in accordance with the Principal supplied Review of Environmental Factors (REF) and Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) (to be provided by the contractor).

• Maintaining access for affected property owners for the duration of the works

• Traffic management in full compliance with TfNSW G10 requirements.

• Preparation, implementation, and submission of all quality management documentation required under the Contract.

• Principal Contractor responsibilities for the construction of the remediation works, including design management, temporary works design and certification, the management of approved ancillary sites, work Health and Safety obligations, environmental management and compliance and the quality of works to Australian standards and outlined TfNSW specifications.

Please note the following: Please find the current draft REF attached for your information. This REF was prepared during an earlier design phase and reflects a combined rockfill and soil nail solution. As the project is now being tendered as a Design and Construct contract, the REF will need to be reviewed for suitability against the design solution proposed for construction.

Please note that Item A in the Provisional Sum Schedule allows for the contractor’s cost to prepare a new REF should the current REF be deemed unsuitable for the final design solution.

"Please find attached engineering logs for boreholes drilled at Creek Street as per the plan attached. The Principal recognized that previous logs terminated at 9.9m deep, so additional logs have been provided to assist with concept design parameters.

These logs have been prepared based on visual-tactile assessments undertaken in general accordance with AS1726:2017.

The consistency and relative density of the overburden materials, and the strength of the rock materials, are based on field observations and should be considered indicative only, as no laboratory confirmatory and /or insitu testing was undertaken as part of the investigation"
