Question:
Can council please confirm whether gravel materials are all required to be imported to the island, or if there are borrow pits on the island to utilise? If importing material can council please clarify what the gravel specification is for these works?

Answered on 02/Dec/2025 09:45 AM:

Please allow to import all of the materials required to complete the works, as there are no borrow pits available on the islands.

Question:
We note that the tender preparation period for this request falls predominantly within the Industry Christmas shutdown period. Our estimating department will be closed from 12 December to 12 January, and we understand that most of our key trade subcontractors and suppliers are also closed during this time. We therefore respectfully request a one-week extension to the submission deadline to allow sufficient time to collate and receive pricing once the industry re-opens. Thank you in advance.

Answered on 04/Dec/2025 11:42 AM:
