The engagement of a Technical Communication/ Radio SME to complete a state-wide communications assessment to determine effective and efficient communications solutions for the Customer (RoadTek) based on the geographic spread of operations.

Objectives

1. Assess and evaluate RoadTek's current field-based communications practices within its operational units and its utilisation of technology, with a focus on performance, resilience, usability, accessibility, compliance and business readiness.

2. Conduct in-field communication assessments within Queensland’s state-controlled road network boundaries. Focus on the effectiveness of communication connectivity and areas influenced by geographic factors to generate mapping intelligence, and advise on existing, alternative and emerging technologies for suitability.

3. Conduct a gap analysis to inform RoadTek’s future communication practices and technology uti-lisation. This analysis will identify opportunities for improvement while considering geographic and situational limitations, with a focus on achieving enhanced operational efficiency, strengthened resilience, and full compliance with regulatory obligations.
