The Mayor and councillors work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and staff to deliver a range of plans and strategies that guide the delivery of major projects across the region, and council’s capital works program. Council is seeking an experienced Principal contractor to undertake the disposal and replacement of the existing chiller plant system, including cooling tower upgrades and associated mechanical services located at the Caloundra Indoor Stadium.

The project includes testing and commissioning of a new mechanical solution.

The works will also include the replacement and upgrade of the main switchboard responsible for managing the facility's electrical power supply, ensuring compatibility with the new plant and improving overall system reliability and performance.

Respondents are able to nominate alternate equivalent equipment to that specified in the Tender. Respondents must complete Schedule 6 Appendix 3 System Components as part of the tender response.

This is a lump sum contract. The successful Contractor will provide all equipment and services required to complete the project.

A non-mandatory Information Session will be held on 3 November 2026, refer to details contained in Schedule 2 of the Invitation to Tender.
