Established in 1991, the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is the Queensland Government’s high performance sports agency responsible for preparing Queensland elite athletes, teams and coaches for world class success.

Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is looking for ONE suitably qualified psychologist with experience working in an Elite Sports Environment / High Performance Systems to provide services for up to 2 days per week.

Based in Brisbane, this role is responsible for the provision of Psychology support to athletes in the national program as well as to categorised podium, developing and emerging athletes in the QAS Athletics program. You will also be responsible for developing strategies to support exceptional high-performance outcomes. Work will be conducted from QSAC. Travel in the role to support events both nationally and internationally may be required.

The proposed contract is for an initial term from 31 March 2025 to 28 February 2027, with an option to extend for a further 2 years till 28 February 2029 at the discretion of QAS.

Responses are sought from individual practitioner/s who have the appropriate qualifications, experience, expertise and capacity to provide the required services.
