Legal Aid Queensland (LAQ) has committed to the sale of 44 Herschel Street as part of the Workplace Strategy 2025-2030. The sale of the owned-asset was approved by the LAQ Board in July 2025 which includes Brisbane CBD operations to consolidate into a single, fit-for-purpose back-of-house location, supported by a nearby front-of-house reception.

LAQ is now seeking an experienced and professional Sales Agent to lead the sales campaign for their freehold building in the Brisbane CBD. The successful Sales Agent will work collaboratively with LAQ and its project team to deliver a successful sales process.

LAQ is seeking a truly collaborative partner to join a holistic project team dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for this significant accommodation transformation initiative.



The appointed Sales Agent will be responsible for managing and delivering the sales campaign in accordance with the agreed scope of services. The Sales Agent will oversee all aspects of the sales process, including the development and implementation of marketing strategies, coordination of property viewings, and engagement with prospective buyers.

The Sales Agent will work collaboratively with LAQ’s internal project team, property consultant, the appointed support contractor team, and other stakeholders to ensure a successful sales outcome, compliance with all relevant regulations, and minimal disruption to LAQ’s business operations at the subject property.

• The Supplier (‘Company’) must hold current real estate license from Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ)

• The Proposed Team must be registered under the Supplier’s license with evidence of license and personal registration to be provided with the response.

• The Supplier must hold a trust account.

• The Lead Agent will have a minimum 10 years’ experience in capital transactions in Brisbane, with supporting agents for contingency.

LAQ has completed the advertising process on the Queensland Government Land Register and the organisation is seeking targeted vacant possession of the subject

property by Q2 and Q3-2027. This timing is subject to construction and relocation programming and may be subject to change.

Given that LAQ’s operations remain active at the subject property the successful agent will require thoughtful consideration for inspections to ensure limited interruption for business continuity during this period. The property must remain operational until the fit-out of LAQ’s new premises is completed and staff and operations are successfully relocated.

The Workplace Strategy Project (WPS) Team will be supported by ACCORP, acting as a property consultant, to assist in the sales process. We are also seeking for the Sales Agents to identify opportunities to mitigate risks, optimise the sales process, and expedite timelines where feasible, without compromising the outcome or compliance of the sales campaign.
