Suppliers are invited by James Cook University (JCU) to submit an offer for 001170 for the provision of Civil and Landscaping services associated with drainage improvements and the remediation of untreated landscaped areas surrounding the Engineering and Innovation Place (EIP). The full scope of works is outlined in Schedule 2 – Scope of Work. The contract will be managed under the amended AS4905 Medium Works Contract as a lump sum offer.
Tender Briefing (Recommended attendance) - Thursday 24th July at 2pm meeting at Building 506 (Engineering and Innovation Place), Entryway. Maximum 2 persons per supplier, confirm attendance to tenders@jcu.edu.au. Refer RFT page 5 for details.
Delivery of civil and landscaping works focused on improving drainage, managing overland flow and addressing site remediation. Strategic landscaping treatments will also be implemented to stabilise ground conditions and elevate the visual appeal of the precinct, ensuring the EIP sits seamlessly within the campus landscape.
To complete these works, JCU is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to coordinate and execute the scope in line with statutory requirements and detailed design documentation.
This is a key opportunity to contribute to the long-term functionality, resilience, and aesthetic quality of one of JCU’s most significant recent developments.

Question
:
Please see below RFI's for the above mentioned tender.
1.Noting the new proposed Swale on the SMEC plans running along the existing indigenous Education building to the west of the space runs directly above the existing fire hydrant feed, do we have heights of this service to confirm if applicable ground cover can be maintained in this area once the swale has been excavated?
2. Are we raising the other pits in the garden beside the pit to be raised?
3. Are we reinstating the gardens affected by the path being removed and raised in a like or like manner? or are we just turfing the new raised levels?
4. Can you please confirm the colour/mix of the existing path to be removed so reinstalled footpath is the same colour?
5. Can you please confirm colour of pit to be raised? It looks like coloured concrete?
Regards,
