The Macksville Memorial Aquatic & Fitness Centre (MMAFC) located at 23A Cooper Street, Macksville NSW 2447 is a Nambucca Valley Council (NVC) owned asset with operations contracted to an external, independent operating company. As part of refurbishment and upgrade activities and as a result of major hail/storm damage to the roof in 2023, sections of the MMAFC facility’s roof and guttering systems will be removed and replaced to improve integrity and treatment of rainfall.

The Principal is seeking submissions from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors for the replacement of the roof at the Macksville Aquatic & Fitness Centre.

A non-mandatory site meeting is scheduled for 11am, 21st March 2025. Meeting at the gates of the MMAFC.

Can I please have the radius measurements for all sections of the roof that need re roofing and also a schedule of all items on roof that will need to be removed and replaced.

Radius of section of roof (Zone 1) to be replaced is R 21.00m as shown on drawing Attachment 3 - MMAFC Elevations.



A detailed schedule of all materials for the roof sheet / cappings / flashings / aprons replacement is to be prepared by Respondent using information shown on Attachment 3 drawings. Note that the roof support structure does not need to be replaced however provision should be made for an allocation of roof battens / purlins to ensure adequate material for the roof sheets to be fastened to.

The suppliers that were at the site briefing on the 20th March have been offered a roof inspection Tuesday 25th.

For any suppliers would like to attend a roof inspection, please email tendering@nambucca.nsw.gov.au for a timeslot that will be for this Thursday 27th March, the deadline for requesting a roof inspection is tomorrow, Tuesday 25th at 4pm.

Please note that if you intend to book an inspection of the roof you provide the following:

Ladder to access the external roof and ladder to access the internal ceilings

Safety Harness & other PPE as per WorkSafe NSW requirements

Copy of Working at Heights card

Photos of the roof will be uploaded as an addendum Tuesday 25th March.

1. Please confirm if reinstatement of mechanical vent to northeastern roof zone 1 is required, inspection of vent appears defunct.

2. Please confirm service type within conduits atop roof running over main entrance to allow for disconnect & reconnect, site inspection inconclusive.

Question:
Schedule 12. in T2025_Volume_2_Tender_Schedules notes ((SUBMIT WHEN REQUESTED)), then when you look at the section 2.5 Submission of Quotations under T2025-013_Volume_1_Conditions_of_Quotation

Can you advise on the requirement is as per the 'Tender Schedules' or 'Submission of Quotations'.

This is contradictory, the schedule items that state 'Submit when requested', should have been noted on Volume 1 - Conditions of Quotations.

This is not required with your submission.

Council only requires confirmation that the supplier has the capital to supply and install the works. This may be in the form of a letter of solvency and/or proof of financial fitness from a registered accountant rather than full financials.
