Good morning,

In Part D – Schedule of Prices under “Termite Treatment”, it asks for confirmation that employee(s) hold a QBCC Termite Management – Chemical and a QBCC Termite Management – Physical licence. However, the services listed only require a QBCC Termite Management – Chemical licence.

Could you please confirm whether both licences are required, or only Chemical licensing for this tender?

Tenderers are required to hold both a QBCC Termite Management – Chemical licence and a QBCC Termite Management – Physical licence.

While the termite treatment services currently listed in the Schedule of Rates primarily require a Termite Management – Chemical licence, the contract may include other termite management works that require a Termite Management – Physical licence. As subcontracting is not permitted under this arrangement, suppliers must be appropriately licensed to undertake the full range of potential termite-related services that may arise during the contract term.

Accordingly, the requirement for both licence types remains unchanged, and tenderers should ensure they can demonstrate compliance with both licensing requirements in their submission.

Please also note.

The QBCC Termite Management - Physical licence (along with the QBCC Termite Management – Chemical Licence) is only required if offering for the termite treatments, which is optional under this trade. The mandatory requirement for this SOA is the Pest Management Licence issued by Qld Health, which is required to undertake the basic and additional treatments etc.

Can you please confirm that if we have no subcontractors to propose for the services, we do not have to submit the Appendix C - Schedule of Subcontractors and that our submission will still be conforming ie not alternative?

Yes Correct if you are not subcontracting you do not need to submit appendix C - Schedule of Subcontractors

Question:
Hi Procurement

Can you please confirm - if we are a pest control business, we are not allowed to provide subcontactors for termite works ONLY? but we are able to nominate for other pest services ie snakes, native species removal, etc?

Good morning,

Yes, that is correct. Termite works must be performed by the contracted business and cannot be subcontracted.

For any items outside the termite scope, subcontractors can be nominated in Appendix C and engaged subject to QBuild approval.

Question:
Hi Procurement

Can you confirm that the Annexure D Purchase Contract Conditions is for jobbing/ reactive services only? and that the contract for ongoing maintenance services will be created separately once the contractor is engaged under the SOA?

Good morning,

This SOA covers reactive maintenance, planned maintenance, and housing vacant maintenance. A separate contract is required for ongoing regular servicing of certain sites, which is managed through our Service Maintenance team.
