The City of Mount Isa is a local government area in north west Queensland. The City covers the urban locality of Mount Isa, the administrative center, and surrounding area, sharing a boundary with the Northern Territory to the west.

Mount Isa is a reasonably affluent district. The largest industry in the City is the Mount Isa Mines, a source of lead, copper, silver and zinc. Cattle grazing and tourism are other industries of note.

Mount Isa City Council (the Principal) invites Tenders from suitably qualified Tenderers for selection as a pre-qualified supplier of road construction and maintenance as described in more detail in Part 5 – Scope.


The principle intends to establish the register of pre-qualified suppliers and to subsequently invite quotations for particular work packages from selected pre-qualified suppliers.

Successful Tenderers may be required to work with gravel, limestone, road base, bituminous products, asphalt, concrete and other construction materials used by the principle in the construction of roads, drainage and reserves and other assets.

The appoint as a pre-qualified supplier will commence on 1st December 2027 and end on the 30th November 2029 (TERM). The principle may extend the Term, at its discretion, for a further 24 months (2 x 12months periods) by giving written notice to successful Tenderers.
