Bundaberg Regional Council was formed in 2008 as a result of the merging of Bundaberg City Council, Burnett Shire, Isis Shire and Kolan Shire Councils. Situated at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and stretching from the Burrum River to Baffle Creek, is comprised of 6,451 sq km and is home to more than 102,000 people, with our population expected to grow to over 141,000 people within twenty-five years. Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting offers from qualified service providers to undertake regular inspection and maintenance of Council’s compressed air equipment. Council intends to outsource maintenance and inspection of compressed air equipment across all Bundaberg water and wastewater treatment sites.

Council provides Water and Wastewater Services for approximately 35 000 connections within the Bundaberg Region. Water is processed from various sources to produce healthy, safe water as governed by the Drinking Water Quality Management Plan and the regulator.

The operation of water and wastewater treatment plants rely on equipment that produces and utilises compressed air. To ensure reliable plant operation and compliance to regulations, the compressed air equipment must be routinely maintained by competent maintenance personnel.

The contract period will be for 2 years, with the option to extend by a further 2 years. The maximum contract duration would be 4 years.
