Question
:
Hi,
Could you please advise on the pricing schedule, price per BBQ and the next column is Price per BBQ per 6 months. What difference are you looking for from each of these columns? Is the first to be an annual price?
Answered on 21/Oct/2026 08:07 AM
:
Hello Benjamin,
As per the Part E - Pricing schedule, Council is interested in knowing the Supplier price for each individual Barbecue (Price per BBQ unit), and price for the site on those two months (May and November). The price will automatically calculate per Barbecue at the site and then double to give us a annual amount.
This gives Council a very fine, granular view of a Suppliers potential prices.

Question
:
Hi, we have two questions.
1. We have previously cleaned and tested BBQs for another SEQ council, but their grease traps were in the ground and not part of the scope as they needed to be vacuumed.
Can Council please provide more information on these BBQ areas and if the fat buckets are removable and able to be tipped into a larger collection bucket for disposal? or do they need to be vacuumed as well? If possible any indication of collection volume, or maximum volume would be ideal for pricing disposal of the waste please.
2. Part D (Tab 1) lists Professional Indemnity insurance as “Not Applicable” and Part F Schedule 1 states it is required “If Applicable”, while Part C clause 3.3 lists Professional Indemnity of $10 million per claim as a mandatory insurance. As the services are electrical inspection, testing and maintenance, with no design or consulting services involved, could Council please confirm whether Professional Indemnity insurance is required for this contract? If it is required, would Council accept a lower level of cover, such as $1 million provided through an Errors & Omissions extension to the Contractor’s liability policy?
Thank you

:
Good morning Mick,
1. The BBQs under this Contract utilise removable fat buckets and do not require vacuum extraction. Fat buckets are to be removed, emptied, cleaned and reinstalled in accordance with the Scope of Works. Contractors may decant waste into a suitable collection container for lawful disposal to a legal place of tipping and MUST NOT be placed in any park bins. Copies of tipping dockets are to be supplied with each monthly claim for payment.
Council does not hold data on the volume or weight of grease/fat waste generated at each site. Tenderers are required to satisfy themselves as to the extent of the Services and should make their own assessment of waste volumes for pricing purposes. Site inspections are available and encouraged.
2. Professional Indemnity is not applicable for this contract. Part C is in error, Part D is correct, Part F is a Draft (as marked).
