The Southern Downs Regional Council was formed on the 15th of March 2008 as an outcome of the Queensland Local Government Reform process. This new governing body encompasses the areas previously occupied by the Warwick and Stanthorpe Shire Councils.

Dear Valued Suppliers

Southern Downs Regional Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Suppliers for the formation of a Register of Pre- Qualified Suppliers for Traffic Management Services. It is anticipated that successful Tenderer/s may be engaged to complete services at various locations throughout the region.

Traffic management providers are utilised regularly by Southern Downs Regional Council to ensure public and worker safety on and around construction and maintenance sites throughout the region.

This contract is for the supply of qualified, experienced and accredited traffic controllers, fully equipped signage vehicles, traffic control devices, communications systems and safety equipment for the control of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on, around and through the Principal’s work sites, whether static or mobile, and the protection of workers, construction plant and other property on or adjacent to the Principal’s work sites.

All Suppliers must be registered with the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Traffic Management Registration Scheme and must maintain this registration during the term of the Arrangement.
