HI,

the pricing schedule show replace existing pipes with new 600x600 rcbc for site 2 at ch9392 but the scope of works document says replace existing 375 dia pipe with 450x300. which is correct?

This has been recertified and the new version, along with Addendum 01 have been uploaded.

Question:
The Project Documentation shows that the box culverts are to be constructed in accordance with TMR specification.

Due to the location of the proposed works we would not be able to comply with TMR specifications for maximum time from batch to placement.

is it possible to change the design to use precast culvert bases?

These works have to meet the TMR specifications, but a time allowance is allowed for works.

What is the time allowance, we will drive the track in the new year but based on previous knowledge of this road delivery will exceed 75 minutes.

Good Afternoon

All in-situ concrete must comply with the placement time requirements of the TMR Specifications, for which there are provisions for extended placement times applicable to the proposed mix.

The Tenderer may elect to use precast bases at their own risk. Hard, rocky subgrades are anticipated and should be considered when assessing the suitability of precast base slabs.

Question:
Can you please advise if the below conditions with Concrete would be acceptable.

In regards to Main roads compliance:

• No temperature control measures are available, ie no chilled water or ice

o We recommend early morning pours to combat temperature

• Recycled water used at the plant

• We would require a relaxation on placement time due to expected travel distance and time to the job site

• Recommend a high retarder dose dependent on the conditions of the day to accommodate placement time and duration

Good Morning,

The Contractor is responsible for the concrete mix design and mix testing under the TMR specifications (primarily MRTS70).

Maximum placement times can be extended by following the process outlined therein.

Question:
Can you please confirm where we can obtain Construction water From? Can we take it from the Creek at the intersection of Cathu Forrest Road and Cathu Oconnell river Road?

With the setout Marker Signers is there size requirements for these signs or heights above the ground they need to be installed at?

Does the Government Own any Land in the area which would be suitable to setup a Construction Hub to store an office and Equipment in non working hours.

Good Morning

The O’Connel River is best suited for take water, but all contractors must obtain permits to remove water from the relevant authorities.

Setout markers must be legible at all times during and at Practical Completion inspection.

The contractor is to propose the laydown area and confirm this with the Departments approval during pre-start.
