Located in the heart of Central Queensland, the Rockhampton Region is situated 570 km north of Brisbane and approximately 300 km south of Mackay. The Region spans an area that’s covers the communities of Mount Morgan and Gracemere and boasts the City of Rockhampton as the main service centre for the wider Central Queensland Region. Rockhampton Regional Council provides a range of local government infrastructure and services, including: water and wastewater services; waste collection and disposal; construction and maintenance of roads, parks, reserves, sports and community facilities; and a wide variety of community services. Council also owns and operates the Rockhampton Airport and Fitzroy River Water.

Rockhampton Regional Council invites Tenders from suitably qualified Contractors to manage Green Waste across all Waste Management Facilities (Lakes Creek Road, Gracemere, Mount Morgan, Bouldercombe, Alton Downs, Bajool and Bushley). The focus is on the timely removal of processed or unprocessed Green Waste stockpiles. Additionally, the scope includes management and processing of Untreated Timber at Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility only.

Term of Contract - The term of the Contract will be for three (3) years and will commence from 20 June 2026. The parties have the option to extend the agreement by two (2) further periods of twelve (12) months each. Any extension is subject to a satisfactory review by Council conducted within three (3) months prior to the date for renewal.

Site Inspection - 11:00am, Thursday 5th February 2026 at Lakes Creek Road Waste Management Facility meeting at the Waste Education Centre. Prospective Tenderers wishing to attend must email tenders@rrc.qld.gov.au with the attendee(s) name(s) and contact number no later than 3:00pm, Wednesday 4th February 2026.
