What the buyer is requesting
Details
The Department of Primary Industries (DPI), through Research Infrastructure, requires the provision of cleaning services for Bribie Island Research Facility.

Cleaning tasks are completed on a scheduled basis, ranging from daily cleaning tasks to annual and on-demand activities. Tasks undertaken are grouped into five service categories:

1. Flooring,

2. Window Glass, Sills & Internal Walls, Ceilings

3. Toilets, washrooms, showers and locker rooms,

4. Kitchen and breakout areas, and

5. Office areas, hallways, lab rooms and furniture

The Supplier will be required to supply the required consumables, plant and equipment to undertake the services. The initial contract term is till 31 October 2027; with two (2) 12-month extension options. The complete contract requirements are specified in Schedule 1 of the attached ‘Contract Details’.

This RFQ has a mandatory industry briefing on 9:00am AEST Tuesday, 18 August 2026. Suppliers will meet at: 144 North Street, Woorim QLD 4507. Please register for the site visit via email no later than 2:00pm AEST, Friday, 14 August 2026 via procurement@dpi.qld.gov.au.

Good morning.

In the Request for Quote, Section 5. Evaluation Criteria – in particular the following

• Service Delivery Approach and Compliance

• Capacity and Resourcing

It states “Supplier to provide details in Schedule 1, Section 9.1. of the Contract Details.”

And “ Supplier to provide details in Schedule 1, Section 9.2 of the Contract Details.”

Are the answers / information to be entered into the relevant sections in the Request for Quote or in the contract Details document sections 9.1 & 9.2?

Thank you for your question.

For the Evaluation Criteria "Service Delivery Approach and Compliance" and "Capacity and Resourcing", Suppliers are requested to provide their response within the Contract Details document in Section 9.1 and 9.2 only; the Supplier is not required to enter a response into the Request for Quote for these criteria.

Can the Department of Primary Industries please clarify the following:

In the Contract Details Schedule 2 Price. It is stated

Cleaning Services classified as Routine with Appendix 2 – Cleaning Schedule inclusive of labour, equipment and overheads.

Does this mean that this pricing does NOT include periodicals?

And the pricing for periodicals is to be based on the following statement?

The monthly fixed price is intended to cover all cleaning services classified as Routine in Appendix 2 – Cleaning Schedule, inclusive of labour, equipment, consumables, supervision, and overhead costs necessary to perform those routine tasks.

Any tasks classified as Additional Services in Appendix 2, including periodical cleaning activities, will be requested by the Customer as required and quoted separately by the Supplier. Any quotes provided must be in accordance with the maximum rates specified under the Additional Services pricing schedule.

Suppliers should ensure that their monthly Routine pricing includes all costs associated with delivering the Routine cleaning services outlined in Appendix 2.
