What the buyer is requesting
Details
Scenic Rim Regional Council (‘Council’ or ‘Principal’) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified contractors to develop and finalise a design, obtain the building approvals and permits, and construct a new office and amenities building including associated electrical and hydraulic services for staff managing the Peak Crossing Transfer Station. The works are to be delivered on a design and construct basis, with the successful Contractor responsible for design, all regulatory approvals, construction, commissioning and handover. The works replace the existing demountable building and associated services. The scope also includes the supply and installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery system to service the facility through a locally nominated electrical subcontractor.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
Council has established a maximum contract budget of $330,000 (excluding GST) for delivery of this project. Tenderers are encouraged to submit a proposal that delivers the best possible outcome within this budget. Where the full scope of works cannot be accommodated within the budget limit, Tenderers must clearly identify those items that cannot be included and provide separately itemised pricing for each in Part E – Pricing Schedule, so that Council can make an informed decision on inclusions at the time of award.

Question:
Good afternoon,

In Part E – Pricing Schedule, cell G78 is calculated as G23+G32+G77+G60, cell G60 is calculated as SUM(G57:G59), and cell G77 is calculated as SUM(G35:G76). It seems that some items appear to be included more than once.

In addition, Cell G60 is identified as the subtotal for the solar system, and the note below states that this item does not form part of the Base Tender Price (G78). However, G60 appears to be included in the formula for Cell G78.

Could you please review and confirm the correct calculation methodology? Thanks.
