Question
:
Morning, in Part A word document, page 2 - there is a 'Drafting Note - Remove before Release', are USQ, happy for the respondents to remove this or would a new version be issued?
Answered on 06/Jul/2026 01:31 PM
:
Good afternoon,
Thank you for identifying the drafting note in Part A of the Word document (Page 2).
A revised version of the document will be issued to remove the drafting note. This amendment is administrative in nature only and does not alter any other content, requirements, conditions, or components of the document.
Kind regards,
Vaughn

Question
:
The HERM workbook is missing the "Outside respondent scope" in the Support Level dropdown. Please confirm if this is intended or if we are able to update the validation list to include this.
Answered on 07/Jul/2026 12:27 PM
:
A revised version of the document has been issued to address this omission. The Support Level and Delivery Method dropdown lists have been updated to include the missing options in HERM-BRM-RFI Response v1.1.
This amendment is administrative in nature only and does not alter any other content, requirements, conditions, or components of the document.

Question
:
Greetings,
As the documentation is silent on whether there will be a requirement for, or consideration of technology/software escrow services, could you, if appropriate, let me know the following, …
1.
Has escrow as a risk mitigation tool been considered for holding intellectual property or trade secrets?
2.
If it has, has it been discarded?
3.
If escrow is required, how will you go about selecting your software escrow agent, given the cost of technology escrow services is typically modest?
Kind regards, Software Escrow Guardians
Answered on 09/Jul/2026 12:37 PM
:
Good afternoon
At this stage UniSQ has not defined detailed contractual, commercial, risk allocation or escrow requirements.
The purpose of the RFI is to inform future options assessment and procurement planning. Any requirements relating to software escrow, intellectual property protection or business continuity arrangements would be considered as part of any future approved procurement activity.
Regards

Question
:
Hi UniSQ team,
Please find below the few of the questions for your review and clarification response.
Question 1 – Given the breadth of the HERM Business Capability Model (approximately 250+ capabilities spanning the University's full value chain), can UniSQ confirm whether respondents only need to consider HCM, Finance & Student information related line items in the scope? Please also confirm that capability areas outside of the scope of this RFI (e.g. Library, Facilities, Advancement, Legal, Security Management) may be marked “Outside respondent scope” without this being interpreted as an incomplete response.
Question 2 – Can UniSQ provide a summary of the specific PeopleSoft (PSFT) functionality currently in use across Finance, HCM and SIS that this program is intended to replace, augment or modernise? Please also identify the primary integration points (systems, data flows and interfaces) that a future solution would need to support. This also includes if UniSQ also plan to replace or retain Curriculum Management module as part of this RFI along with HCM/Finance/SIS.
Question 3 – Can UniSQ provide, or confirm its intention to provide, a current-state system architecture overview showing PeopleSoft's touchpoints with adjacent systems (e.g. LMS, timetabling, identity and access management, data warehouse/reporting, payroll, and other specialist systems), to help respondents scope integration complexity?
Question 4 – What middleware or integration platform (e.g. enterprise service bus, iPaaS) does UniSQ currently use to integrate PeopleSoft with other enterprise systems? Is UniSQ open to respondents proposing an alternative integration technology as part of a future solution?
Question 5 – Does UniSQ currently operate a data lake, data warehouse, or enterprise data/analytics platform separate from PeopleSoft? If so, can UniSQ describe its role, and whether it would be retained, replaced, or extended under a future solution?
Question 6 – Within the HCM capability area — encompassing recruitment/hire, learning and development, performance management, benefits, compensation, absence management, time tracking and payroll — can UniSQ clarify which sub-capabilities are intended to be delivered by the core enterprise solution, and which may remain with existing or separately sourced third-party/best-of-breed systems?
Question 7 – Within the Finance capability area — encompassing general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, procurement, asset management, budgeting and planning, treasury and financial reporting — can UniSQ provide the same clarification: which sub-capabilities are intended to be delivered by the core enterprise solution, and which may remain with existing or third-party systems?
Thank you.
Regards,
Ankit
