Hello,

The Lump Sum Pricing Schedule does not have any quantities within the spreadsheet. Will this be updated to allow pricing? or is it the authoritys expectation for tenders to provide their own take off of the schedule items?

Answered on 16/Jul/2025 12:49 PM:

No Council will not be providing quantities, it is expected that the tenderer will extract their own quantities from the drawings provided with the tender documents.

Question:
Hi,

Regarding section 1.6 in the project brief, which states "The Contractor shall be responsible for arranging, obtaining approval and paying all costs associated with protecting, altering and relocating existing services." Given it is not possible to ascertain the extent or requirement of this at time of tender, would council consider a provisional sum for this to dispense if required.

Thank you.

Answered on 07/Aug/2025 03:48 PM:

Protecting of existing services is part of the Principal Contractor’s scope of works and there shall be no additional payment approved for protection of existing services and for obtaining relevant permits and approvals. Where the project documents show alternation or relocation of existing services or installation of new services, this is to be included as part of the lump sum pricing by Contractors.

If relocation of existing third party owned assets is identified as being required which has not already been shown on the project documents, this shall be assessed as a variation claim. Therefore a provisional sum item is not required.

Question:
Hi - Our electricians have been speaking to the lighting supplier & have conflicting information. The suppliers information is the L4 is to be a single light on a curved pole which the symbol (on BRT Drawing BS200) does only show 1 light. The detail on the Tract drawings (specifically detail 6 Drwg DR606) shows a straight pole with 2 fittings mounted to it. Can you confirm which is correct, if it’s a curved pole we will need the details of that pole.

Answered on 18/Aug/2025 05:17 PM:

Council has reviewed the specifications and drawings in relation to the supply and installation of public light poles L4 and L5 and have identified that there is insufficient information about the light poles and luminaires required to be installed. Therefore, contractors are requested to input a provisional item of $20,000.00 ex GST in BOQ item 10.4.

Contractors are still required to provide pricing for supply and installation of underground conduits to the location shown for L4 and L5 on the drawings which is captured in BOQ items 10.7 and 10.8 as per the original BOQ.

Question:
There appears to be a conflict between the Bendigo Bank verandah footings & the drainage / kerb works

Can you please advise rectification for the conflict

Answered on 19/Aug/2025 04:07 PM:

Landscape drawing no. DR305 and civil drawing no. 0009 both indicate that the existing veranda posts and associated foundations are going to end up ultimately behind the proposed kerb alignment and proposed drainage. Therefore, there does not appear to be a conflict. There is a note on landscape drawing DR305 related to reconstructing new stirrups and footings and providing temporary support to the existing veranda.

It is also noted that BOQ item 11.3 relates to this specific work item.

Contractors are required to provide pricing based on the tender documents.
