Question
:
We are currently reviewing the tender documentation for the Supply and Installation of the New Outdoor Air Preconditioning Unit (TBSC/26/014) and request clarification on the following items:
1. Incumbent Water Treatment Company
Section 15.1 of the Mechanical Services Specification (Annexure C) states that the "existing water treatment company shall be engaged to provide and continue the water treatment during construction and during the defects liability period".
Query: Could you please provide the name, primary contact person, and contact details for the incumbent water treatment company?
2. Incumbent Fire Services Provider
Section 2.2 states that the successful contractor will be responsible for "Organising the isolation and activation of the building fire system (with the Councils fire services provider) during the installation of the works."
Query: Could you please provide the name, primary contact person, and contact details for the Council's current fire services provider?
3. BMS / Preferred Manufacturers
Section 17 (Building Management Controls System) notes that the site has an existing Schneider electronic controls system that needs to be expanded.
Query: Does the Council have a preferred Schneider integrator/contractor that currently maintains this system? If so, please provide their contact details. Additionally, outside of the specific brands mentioned as "or approved equal" in the specification (e.g., Grundfos, Rheem, Camfil, etc.), are there any other preferred manufacturers or mandatory suppliers the Council requires us to use for this project?
4. Closing Date Discrepancy & Request for Extension of Time (EOT)
We note a discrepancy in the tender documentation regarding the closing date. Page 1 of the RFT states the closing time is "Thursday June 16, 2026", whereas Page 2 (Item 4) states "Tuesday 16 June, 2026".
Query: Could Council please clarify the exact closing date and day? Additionally, given the requirement to source specialist back-to-back pricing for the custom AHU wrap-around heat pipe and the incumbent BMS integration, we respectfully request a 1-week extension to the clarified closing date to ensure a comprehensive and best-value submission.
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
Tenderer
