The project will provide a continuous linkage back to existing foreshore pathways and improve general amenity.

The project area is located within an intertidal foreshore zone adjacent to Wallis Lake and holds significant Aboriginal cultural and historical value to the Worimi, Biripi and Guringay peoples. Consultation has identified the area as having high social and cultural significance, with potential for Aboriginal objects and sites.
