Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is the Queensland Government’s land use planning and property development agency. We embrace partnerships across government, industry and the community to deliver new residential communities, urban precincts and industrial ecosystems.

Backed by the Economic Development Act 2012, EDQ has unique planning and approval powers and a mandate to create private sector investment opportunities by de-risking and unlocking land for redevelopment. EDQ has planned and facilitated the delivery of some of the largest residential developments in Queensland, as well as some of the state’s most iconic urban renewal projects. We set benchmarks for the property industry through innovations and we’re creating jobs of the future in regional Queensland by unlocking land to promote priority industries, including clean energy and large-scale manufacturing.

Over the last decade we have generated more than $3.7 billion in private sector investment and facilitated over $1 billion in trunk infrastructure for Queensland. EDQ focuses on achieving commercial outcomes for the state while delivering on government priorities.

The buyer has elected to have their personal and contact details hidden. These details will be revealed at the buyers discretion.

EDQ is seeking expressions of interest to supply and deliver suitable fill material to the site for stockpile. Individual offers to supply should be of quantities generally in excess of 1,000 cubic metres.

This Expression of Interest will remain open for a period of 12 months, during which time suppliers can respond by submitting a Quote to Supply document.

EDQ owns approximately 53 hectares of undeveloped land at Research St. Coolum Beach (Lot 904 SP251584). The site is proposed for the development of Stage 2 of the Coolum Eco Industrial Park. Stage 2A is presently under construction.

The fill must be inert material, free of contamination and have a minimum 5 day soaked California bearing ratio (CBR) value of 3%. Maximum rock size 150mm.

Suppliers must advise the source of the fill. It must not be sourced from a declared fire ant area unless treated and cleared.

Fill must not be contaminated in any way including for acid sulphates.

Geotechnical certification and/or any other information to determine the quality and suitability of fill to the satisfaction of EDQ’s project engineers must be provided if requested.

Suppliers must have all necessary permits and approvals for the source of the fill material and for haulage to EDQ’s site.

Delivery to site and date(s) for delivery will be as directed and approved by the project engineer.

Payment will be made after delivery and placement. Invoices are subject to certification by EDQ’s project engineer. Suppliers will be required to provide documented verification of the quantity of fill delivered to the satisfaction of EDQ’s project engineer. Evidence of delivery and quantity delivered (e.g. delivery dockets) is required.
