Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a suitably qualified Principal Contractor to construct a section of coastal pathway along the Esplanade Headland, Kings Beach.

The section of pathway stretches approximately 200 linear metres and comprises of a concrete pathway, retaining walls and car park works. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

• Concrete pathway construction;

• Drainage construction;

• Landscape works (hardscape, furniture installation and planting);

• Lighting and electrical work;

• Installation of memorial plaques;

• Traffic and pedestrian management;

• Site management including environmental, WH&S, Sub-contractor management; and

• Maintenance and defects liability period

The successful contractor will be required to supply all materials, plant, equipment, and labour necessary to undertake and complete all activities associated with the scope of works under this Contract. This includes performing all tasks, operations, and associated services required to deliver the works in accordance with the specified requirements and to a satisfactory standard.

Works must be carried out in a professional and safe manner that will minimise impact on pedestrians, traffic and visitors to the area. Pedestrian access must be maintained around the works and provide safe connections to the adjoining footpath network.

This is a lump sum contract with an anticipated commencement of early February 2027, with Functional Completion required by 30 June 2027.

A site information session will be held in accordance with the details provided in Schedule 2 of the Invitation to Tender document.
