Question
:
Can QPS please clarify whether suppliers are required to hold third-party certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, or whether documented management systems aligned with these standards would be acceptable?
If third-party certification is required, would suppliers that are actively progressing certification towards these standards still be eligible for consideration?
Answered on 27/Jul/2026 10:04 AM
:
Good morning Shane,
Thank you for your question.
QPS confirms current third-party certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a mandatory requirement at tender close.
Documented management systems aligned to these standards, without current third-party certification, cannot be accepted.
Suppliers that are still progressing towards certification at time of Tender close also cannot be eligible for consideration as meeting this requirement.
Kind regards.

Question
:
Hi. We are seeking clarification regarding the ISO certification requirements for ITO QPS23388.
The recent VendorPanel Q&A response advises that current third-party certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a mandatory requirement at tender close and that suppliers progressing towards certification are not eligible.
However, Part B, Section 1, Item 13 (Authorisations) states that evidence of accreditation/certification is to be provided by the successful supplier a minimum of five working days prior to contract commencement, and Schedule 1, Section 4 (Certifications) states that suppliers are required to "hold, or be able to obtain prior to commencement of works" the relevant certifications.
Could QPS please confirm which requirement takes precedence?
Specifically, can suppliers who do not currently hold all three certifications at tender close, but can demonstrate that certification will be obtained prior to contract commencement, still be considered compliant and eligible for evaluation?
Thank you for your assistance.
Kind regards,

:
Good afternoon,
Thank you for your question.
My sincere apologies for the confusion evident within the tender documentation.
QPS confirms current third-party certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a mandatory requirement at tender close.
Documented management systems aligned to these standards, without current third-party certification, cannot be accepted.
Suppliers that are still progressing towards certification at time of Tender close also cannot be eligible for consideration as meeting this requirement, this is in place to ensure the process undertaken is fair and equitable for respondents.
Kind regards.

Question
:
Hi,
I have question about how many cleaner staff members do you have at the moment to do the job.
Please let me know in days for Mon Tuesday and weekends etc.
Thanks
Sam
Answered on 14/Aug/2026 02:12 PM
:
Good afternoon Sam,
thank you for your question.
Currently there are 3 for the am shift and 4 for the pm shift Monday to Friday. No cleaners for the weekends.
QPS are uncertain if this will change, as the bulk of the cleaning under the new contract is to be carried outside of standard business hours.
Kind regards.
