Question:
Good afternoon,

For Mincha Road can you please confirm you are after lime stabilization. If we are filling the unsuitable area with class 3 material the patches will benefit from cement stabilization rather than lime depending on the depth of unsuitable material.

Answered on 20/Aug/2025 09:53 AM:

Council may consider cement stabilization as a non-conforming response.

Question:
Hi Can council advise how we perform compaction testing on Mincha road as when we stabilise the section if compaction testing isn’t available to be there at same time what would you recommend we should do as ideally it would be better to seal the road straight after stabilising to minimise damaged surface before seal

And is it ok to use cement instead of lime

Thank you

Answered on 29/Aug/2025 01:45 PM:

The stabilised pavement must be tested prior to sealing. In the interim, vehicles can operate over

the stabilised surface until testing has been carried out.

To allow flexibility for varying site conditions, provide rates for both lime and cement stabilisation.

Thank you.
