Question:
What does " Comprehensive switchboard and distribution board testing" actually consist of in terms of scope?

Answered on 26/May/2026 01:58 PM:

This covers items such as inspection, testing, reporting and verification of switchboards, distribution boards and associated protective devices to confirm safe operation and compliance with relevant standards (AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3760).

Question:
With the schedule of rates provided the line where it has "Data cabling installation and connection" would you like a per meter rate?

Answered on 28/May/2026 01:11 PM:

If possible, could you please provide this as a per hour labour rate for this work, as we understand that materials and installation requirements may vary depending on the asset type and site conditions.

Question:
Can you Clarify if there is a need for professional indemnity insurance prior to tender submission. The Deed references professional indemnity insurance as "where applicable". Our experience with council work has shown this to be a requirement for design and construct projects rather than general ad hoc work.

Answered on 29/May/2026 02:26 PM:

For this panel arrangement, which is primarily intended for general maintenance works on an ad hoc basis, Professional Indemnity insurance is not expected to be a mandatory requirement at the time of tender submission.

However, where a contractor proposes to undertake works that involve design responsibility, professional advice, or consultancy services, the relevant level of Professional Indemnity insurance will be required for those specific engagements.

Question:
Dear Vanessa,

We note that several items within the Pricing Schedule require a fixed rate to be submitted, including:

• Supply and install lighting (standard fitting)

• Install/replace circuit breaker

• BBQ works (electrical faults and malfunctions)

• Install/replace RCD (safety switch)

As the required materials, asset types and specifications may vary between sites and work orders, could Council please confirm whether these rates are intended to:

a) include both labour and materials; or

b) represent labour only, with materials to be charged separately?

If materials are to be included, could Council please provide the assumed standard specification to be used when pricing these items?

Thank you!

Answered on 09/Jun/2026 02:14 PM:

The pricing schedule is intended to focus on the labour and service delivery costs, rather than specific parts and materials required as these may vary depending on the asset type and site conditions. Materials would be charged separately.

Question:
The pricing schedule does not include a separate rate for apprentice labour. Can you please confirm whether labour rates should be inclusive of all personnel required (e.g. technician supported by an apprentice) or if separate apprentice rates are required to be submitted in the additional items box.

Answered on 15/Jun/2026 09:42 AM:

Where a separate rate applies for apprentice labour, you may include this in the Additional Items section of the Pricing Schedule to clearly distinguish it from your general labour rates.
