Looking to see what my options are if my team is not available to make the manadatory project briefing.
My team will be on a previously commited job on the proposed date however we are very keen to complete a briefing and submit a response.

Question
:
Wild Tracks intends to attend the tender meeting on Monday.
Questions:
Can you confirm the total track length of the work area for 2.1?
Can you confirm the percentage of the work area where gravel is to be laid?
Answered on 24/Jul/2025 03:32 PM
:
1. The length of trail for section 2.1 is 3,675m
2. The trail is to comprise a cleared width of 2m (so approx. trail are of 7350m2), with a formed and compacted trail width of 1.5m comprising site material (5,512.50m2)
Where there are soft spots, either;
a) replace with imported material
b) treat with geogrid
c) consider drainage arrangement to assist with areas drying out.
Gravel/DGS20 material may be required in isolated sections with steep grades to assist with stabilization and at bridge approaches to reduce erosion. Estimate this to be for maximum 10% of the overall alignment. Where required gravel should be minimum 75mm thick compacted to 98% MMDD. Considering the above trail length this equates to 370m (L) x 1.5m (W) = 555m2 x 0.075m (D) = 41.6m3 of DGS material.

Question
:

Answered on 19/Aug/2025 10:19 AM
:
Correct documents have now been uploaded as part of the addenda package.

Question
:
In relation to Section 2.1, the General Notes on drawing 50522007-C-2002/3/4 (Stantec) specify requirements that are uncommon with typical trail construction.
- Set out by Surveyor. We assume coordinates will be provided as part of the detailed design (by others). Please confirm if set-out by handheld GPS is sufficient.
- Existing Services. Is ground scanning and potholing required, or is desktop evaluation via BYD sufficient? If scanning / potholing / hand excavation is required, please clearly nominate locations. General notes state existing services have been plotted, however nothing is shown.
- Military Base. Please confirm there is no military / restricted zones.
- Sediment control. Please confirm that filters to sumps, straw bales and silt/sediment fencing is not required.
- Stabilised access point. Please confirm this is not required (ballast rock, shaker pad, drainage etc).
Thank you

:
Set out by surveyor: CAD/shape files have now been provided with the addenda documents.
Existing services: BYD should be carried out at a minimum. Contractors must satisfy themselves that there are no underground services.
Military base: this has now been removed, apologies for any confusion.
Sediment control: sediment/erosion control requirements have been updated in the addenda documents.
