Our 19 dams and 1951 kilometres of pipeline store, capture and deliver around 40 per cent of the water used commercially in Queensland to more than 5000 customers.

Sunwater is seeking offers from experienced civil and/or mechanical contractors to undertake Metal Work Refurbishment and Shutter Replacement at Ben Anderson Barrage.

Ben Anderson Barrage, located on the Burnett River about ten kilometres upstream of Bundaberg. The barrage has 110 collapsible shutters placed on the fixed crest which increase the barrage full supply elevation to 3.97 metres AHD.

During a flood event, the collapsible shutters fall down and after the flood event has passed, a travelling crane travels across the crest, lifting the shutters to an upright position.

This project is to remove the existing shutters and replace with the new shutters, refurbish and/or replace the ancillary metalwork associated with the collapsible shutters.
