Details
The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) invite suitably qualified suppliers to submit an offer for the P253615 - Springbrook NP - Settlement/Purling Brook Precinct – Principal Contractor project.

QPWS is delivering priority visitor infrastructure upgrades at Springbrook National Park under the Queensland Destination 2045 framework, which aims to enhance iconic nature-based visitor experiences while protecting World Heritage values. This procurement seeks a Principal Contractor to deliver new and upgraded accessible visitor facilities, improved lookouts and walking tracks, expanded parking, and a cable-stay suspension bridge to support safe access, inclusive recreation, and long-term sustainable visitation.

This is a Prequalification (PQC) System project. Tenderers must be on the relevant PQC list by the Tender Closing Date and Time. The PQC criteria are:

o Procurement system contract category: Construction Only (previously Traditional Lump Sum)

o Service category: New Construction Work/Addition

o Project type: Nil

o Areas of operation: Moreton South/Gold Coast

o Required office location: Brisbane, Moreton North/Sunshine Coast, Moreton South/Gold Coast

o Service activities: General Building High – unique, innovative or complex construction incorporating integrated services


**Important Dates**

Last date for Supplier Clarifications: 2:00pm Queensland Time on Friday, 26 June 2026

Tender Closing Date: 2:00pm Queensland Time on Friday, 3 July 2026


Minimum eligibility requirements are as follows:

• QBCC Licensing, registration and accreditation

• Copy of Certificate of Currency of required insurance policies

• Attendance at the mandatory site meeting

• Registration on the relevant Prequalification System (PQC) eligible list by the tender closing date and time.


Tenderers are advised that the following may apply to the project:

• Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 Project Trust Accounts

• Occupational Health and Safety Audits for Queensland Government building projects


Mandatory Site Visit

This Request for Tender has a mandatory site visit on Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 8:00am.

Question:
We note that the contract conditions require the Contractor to have a $20M professional indemnity insurance policy. Would presentation of a certificate of currency for a $10M policy preclude us from consideration for this project?
