Question:
in the event that unforeseen circumstances require additional materials, could you advise on the expected lead time and potential downtime for procurement?

Answered on 28/Nov/2025 09:26 AM:

The department holds additional materials in stock at the DPI Roma and Quilpie compounds. Materials would be supplied to affected work sites as soon as possible to prevent any down time.

Question:
Could you please clarify the variation protocol process on site, specifically regarding the timing of approvals and implementation? Our main concern is understanding how variations may impact downtime and whether work can continue in other areas while approvals are pending.

Answered on 28/Nov/2025 09:28 AM:

It is understood that variations may be required due to weather and unforeseen circumstances such as break downs. Identifying where a variation may be required is important so the process can start in a prompt manner. Works can progress if it is still within the scope of the contract, while the variation is progressed in the background. This is also subject to negotiations between the DPI Contract Manager and the relevant supplier.
