The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority is responsible for: (a) investigating and planning for potential venues and villages, and related infrastructure, for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

GIICA is inviting suitably qualified entities to submit a prequalification application to design and construct the Project - Brisbane Stadium..

The delivery of the Brisbane Stadium Project (the Project) forms part of the Program.

On 25 March 2025, the State Government announced its 2032 Delivery Plan including a new Brisbane Stadium to be constructed at Victoria Park. Brisbane Stadium shall be designed with a gross seating capacity of 60,000 during Games and 63,000 in legacy mode and concerts of gross capacity of 70,000. The venue will be the host of ceremonies and the athletics program for the Games and a new home for elite Australian Rules Football and Cricket competitions in Brisbane.

The new Brisbane Stadium will:

•provide the opportunity to increase the economic and social prosperity of Queensland through increased major event tourism and additional benefits;

•provides enhanced connectivity between Victoria Park and the wider city context, supporting a legacy outcome of a walkable city;

•leverage transport infrastructure investment and enhance precinct-style developments around Cross River Rail and Brisbane Metro infrastructure;

•offer a flexible site, with a large perimeter ideal for dispersing crowds whilst integrating with and complimenting green space and providing the opportunity for additional activations in the inner city; and

•be a key feature of the Victoria Park Precinct, alongside the National Aquatic Centre and the Brisbane Athletes Village.

Identify suitably qualified and experienced suppliers to participate in the Invitation for Offer (ITO) Procurement Phase.
