Question:
Hi,

The reference used A-3954 -is that the proposal needs to comply with or can we submit proposals that comply with AS/NZS 1801:1997.

Thanks

Answered on 24/Jul/2025 11:43 AM:

Hi Srinivasa. You are welcome to submit proposals as long as they meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard. In saying that, I have noticed that AS/NZS 1801:2024 is a replacement of the previous version AS/NZS 1801:1997 standard, so if you meet AS/NZS 1801:2024 standard, I think the previous version of that standard would be obsolete. Thanks.

Question:
Could the Buyer please clarify whether there are any indicative annual volumes or historical purchasing data available for safety helmets and accessories under this SOA?

Understanding likely ordering patterns (e.g. quantities per annum or typical batch sizes) would assist suppliers in providing more competitive pricing, particularly where international freight and local stocking strategies are involved.

Answered on 28/Jul/2025 11:00 AM:

Hi James. The eventuating Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) has no commitment to a specific volume, see SOA Conditions no. 8. Just for your information and with no impact or relevance to this tender, the annual spend has been approximately $100,000. Thanks.

Question:
HI,

Could the buyer please confirm whether both eye protection and a face shield are mandatory for this tender, or if it would be acceptable to supply either one of the two as a compliant solution?

Answered on 29/Jul/2025 01:45 PM:

Hi all. One or the other is preferred. We just need some form of integrated eye protection, whether that is a face shield or integrated glasses etc. Thanks.

Question:
Hi Francene,

Could you please confirm if a side-mounted helmet headlamp would be acceptable, rather than a centre-mounted headlamp, as this would cover the QLD Ambulance logo?

Thank you for your guidance.

Best regards, Kateryna

Answered on 29/Jul/2025 02:23 PM:

Hi. The QAS preference would probably be for a centre-mounted headlamp as it’d be cross-compatible with all of our helmets. We currently use a centre-mounted headlamp. Thanks.
