What the buyer is requesting
Details
The City of Busselton (the City or the Principal) is inviting Tenders for a suitable supplier to supply and place spray seal and asphalt, including ancillary works such as:

(a) Traffic management;

(b) Profiling;

(c) Line marking;

(d) WHS Principal Contractor Responsibilities;

(e) Night work provisions as required.

A detailed statement of the Requirements to be provided by the Contractor under the Contract is set out in Part 3 – Specification.

Question:
Good Afternoon,

Following my last question in regards to sweeping be changed to hourly rate, After reviewing the line marking request which is cost Plus 15% we believe the best outcome for all and cost efficiency would be any third party contractors required eg: Sweeping Truck , Traffic Management or any others that could arise during the contract be also cost plus 15% or nominated figure by the principal. Thankyou look forward to the response.

Thank you for your query. Please note that Sweeping, Traffic Management and line marking will all be cost+ 15%. The City will issue an amended price schedule to reflect this change.

Question:
Following the previous questioned answered. If cost + 15% is acceptable for sweeping, traffic control and line marking items, can this also be extended to spray seal items?

Acknowledging that some tenderers may not perform spray seal operations in-house in the same way that sweeping, traffic control and line marking are not in-house operations.

Dear Luke

Respondents must provide rates on the provided templates for asphalt and spray seal services. These rates will be subject to the Special Conditions of Contract under RFT26-018 Special Condition 5.

The cost +15% arrangement is only intended for ancillary services to deliver a complete construction project.
