Metro South Health seeks the provision of inpatient acute, subacute and non-acute care services from private healthcare providers to support existing bed capacity. These services primarily relate to subacute and non-acute patients, including geriatric evaluation and management (GEM), nursing-home-type care, rehabilitation and palliative care.

The provision of the clinical care services will require the inclusion of the following care elements depending on the specific type and each Patient’s medical needs as detailed in the relevant CSCF v3.2 service module:

-Medical workforce

-Nursing workforce

-Allied health workforce; including but not limited to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietician, podiatry, and social work as appropriate

-Pathology

-Medication

-Medical imaging

-Discharge/placement coordinators , specifically required for Patients waiting for permanent residential age care placement.

-Hotel Services
