The proposed installation will be located on an existing concrete slab measuring approximately 9 m × 16 m.

The required scope includes:

Supply of two (2) structurally suitable, wind- and watertight 20-foot shipping containers, with Grade 1 (one-trip) containers preferred.

Supply of an engineered, cyclone-rated shelter spanning between the containers.

Sufficient internal height and access clearance to accommodate a 20-tonne excavator and associated waste-processing machinery.

Provision of a full rear end wall to improve weather protection.

Engineering certification, structural drawings and anchoring specifications appropriate for the applicable Far North Queensland cyclone/wind region.

Supply of all required shelter components, fixtures, fittings and anchoring materials.

Delivery of all components to the Stoters Hill Waste Management Facility.

Installation, assembly, container positioning, anchoring and completion of the shelter structure.

Provision of applicable installation inspections and certification.

Suppliers must provide separately itemised pricing for:

Supply of the shelter structure and associated components.

Supply of two 20-foot shipping containers.

Freight and delivery to Stoters Hill.

Installation, including labour, lifting equipment, plant and anchoring.

Engineering, certification and any associated compliance costs.

Total completed project cost, excluding and including GST.

Any exclusions, additional works, site preparation requirements or optional components must be clearly identified.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
Details
The proposed shelter is intended to provide weather-protected storage and servicing space for Council's waste-processing machinery and equipment.

The proposed configuration consists of two parallel 20-foot shipping containers positioned on opposite sides of the existing concrete slab.

One container will be utilised for general storage, while the second will provide storage and workshop facilities.

The central covered area is intended to accommodate machinery entering and reversing out, including a 20-tonne excavator.

The structure must be designed and certified for the applicable cyclone and wind-loading requirements at Stoters Hill.

Suppliers must provide engineering specifications identifying:

Required container separation and clear shelter span.

Minimum internal height and machinery access clearance.

Structural loading requirements.

Container mounting and connection arrangements.

Proposed slab anchoring system.

Required concrete slab strength, thickness and footing specifications.

Any additional foundation works or structural modifications required.

Applicable design standards and certification documentation.

The structural capacity of the existing concrete slab has not yet been verified for the proposed shelter installation. Suppliers must clearly identify the requirements necessary to confirm its suitability.

Alternative engineered configurations may be proposed where they satisfy the intended operational requirements, provided any variations are clearly identified.
Desired Outcomes ('Nice to haves', Conditions & Warranties, SLA's, Project benefits)

Quotations must include:

Fully itemised pricing for supply, delivery and installation.

Total completed project cost, excluding and including GST.

Engineering certification and structural documentation.

Confirmation of applicable cyclone and wind design criteria.

Shipping container specifications, grades, condition and modifications.

Shelter dimensions, materials and proposed configuration.

Container and slab anchoring specifications.

Details of any additional concrete works or site preparation requirements.

Estimated manufacturing, delivery and installation timeframes.

Product warranties, including structural components and roof coverings.

Expected design life of the shelter and roof covering.

Availability, replacement cost and lead time for replacement roof coverings.

Ongoing maintenance requirements.

Identification of whether installation will be undertaken by the supplier or suitably qualified subcontractors.

Details of all exclusions, assumptions and optional items.

Council may consider alternative installation arrangements where these provide improved value for money. Supply and installation costs must therefore remain separately identifiable.

Submissions will be assessed on overall value for money, compliance with specifications, structural suitability, durability, installation arrangements, delivery timeframes, warranties and anticipated ongoing maintenance costs.

This request is for quotation purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to purchase.
