Health Infrastructure Queensland (HIQ) is the division within Queensland Health (QH) responsible for the planning, design, procurement and delivery of this program of work, the largest in the State’s history.

Our mission is to streamline the delivery of healthcare infrastructure, ensuring it will serve our communities now and into the future.

The State of Queensland (acting through Queensland Health) is seeking to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for the supply, installation, and commissioning of Operating Microscopes.

This SOA will primarily support procurements funded under the Timely Infrastructure Investment Maintenance Program (TIIM) and/or the Health Rescue Plan (HRP), as well as meet general operational requirements across the Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).

Scope of the SOA

The arrangement will cover the following categories of Operating Microscopes:

• General Surgical

• Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

• Plastic Surgery

• Neurosurgery

• Ophthalmology

Requirements include:

• Supply, installation, and commissioning of equipment to ensure full clinical functionality

• Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) accessories and consumables

• Delivery costs

• End-user and Biomedical Technical Services (BTS) training

• Service and maintenance support

• Software subscriptions (where applicable)

• Warranty

The following are not included in this ITO:

• Laboratory and scientific microscopes

• Loupes

• Binocular/indirect ophthalmoscopes

• Slit lamps
