The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Playground Upgrade project at Tingalpa SS, located at 1546 Wynnum Road, Tingalpa QLD 4173, as part of the Smart School Subsidy (SSS) program.

The works include the removal and disposal of the existing play equipment, rectification to existing concrete footpaths, Design and Construction of new playgrounds as well as hard and soft landscaping to enhance the area at the front of the school. There is a large significant tree at the front of the school within the site zone that needs to be protected during the works. The position of the site is at the front of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by June 2025.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
