We are interested in participating in the QBUILD CQ – Provision of Service Maintenance to Water Treatment Plant tender. Could you please confirm whether the supply of activated carbon for water treatment purposes is included within the scope of this tender? Additionally, if activated carbon supply is required, could you provide the specifications and expected quantities?

Please refer to the Specification Section 6.3.1 which states in part, “If chemicals, additional to the amount quoted are required, and the Contractor can prove the cause of this extra usage is beyond his control, an adjustment may be made".

Cooling - Number of towers per system (common sump vs isolated)

System metallurgies - cooling

Current chemical products by function and SDS:

Cooling Tower; Corrosion inhibitor, Scale inhibitor / dispersant, Oxidising biocide, Non-oxidising biocide

Boilers; Single drum or 3 drum program?

Typical annual chemical usage by product (kg or L)

Last service report for each site/asset

Cooling tower risk category (if formally assessed)

Any positive Legionella detections in last 24 months

Frequency of decontaminations in last 2 years

Frequency of cooling tower cleans

Any known problem sites

Please note that all known information for all sites has been provided within the tender documentation. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any additional data, as no further information is available in our records.

We would like to emphasise that all services are to be delivered in accordance with the Specifications outlined in the tender documentation. Additionally, there are no known operational issues at any of the sites.

In the absence of specific information, we recommend pricing your submission based on an “average” assessment.
