The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWS&P) invites suitably qualified suppliers to submit an offer for DES1252792 - Blackbraes Services Upgrades and House Ancillary Upgrades (Stage 1).

QPWS&P are seeking to engage a Principal Contractor to deliver plumbing, electrical, building and civil work upgrades. The objective of this project is to establish the necessary infrastructure at Blackbraes Ranger Base, within Blackbraes National Park, to achieve service delivery into the future.

Minimum eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders Licence to undertake the scope of works;

• Certificate of Currency of required insurance policies;

• This is a PQC Project. Tenderers must be on the relevant PQC list by submission close. The PQC criteria are:

o Project type: Civic – Building related projects – Civil works – foundation (building work)

o Area of operation: North West.

Tenderers are advised that the following apply to this project:

• Queensland Government Building and Construction Training Policy;

• Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 Project Trust Accounts;

• Occupational Health and Safety Audits for Queensland Government building projects.

Blackbraes Ranger Base abuts Dulthara Road and is located within Blackbraes National Park.

It is approximately 4.2 km from the intersection of Dulthara Road and Kennedy Development Road, 170km north of Hughenden. Blackbraes National Park spans the boundary between the Gulf Plains and Einasleigh Uplands bioregions.

Some of the world’s oldest and youngest geological formations can be found at Blackbraes National Park. Sandstones of the Gilberton Plateau, granites, pre-cambrian metamorphic, basalts and quaternary outwash are conserved within Blackbraes National Park.
