Question
:
Several questions
The safety mesh is noted to the underside of the purlins, with steel and posts in the way. How will this work as a safety mesh to the underside of the purlins, or should it go on top to create another system to hold the insulation up?
The display cabinet at the front has a glass wall with adjustable glass shelves. Can we have more information on how it can work with adjustable glass shelves against a glass wall.
Extension of time request - 3 weeks due to Soccer Pitch documentation issuing last Friday.
Answered on 11/Mar/2026 11:09 AM
:
Correct, safety mesh is to be installed over the purlins in accordance with AS/NZS 4389:2015. This will be updated in our Construction issue. Contractor to ensure insulation is adequately supported in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Please provide a secondary support system to prevent sagging or displacement.
Regarding the Glass Display Cabinet, let’s introduce white adjustable shelf brackets fixed to the plasterboard wall (extra wall framing, as required) to support the glass shelves. Shelves are to sit on and slightly cantilever past the brackets to the left-hand side (refer Plan Detail 07/A4.01). We are open to extending the plasterboard wall if required to achieve suitable fixing and support.

04/Mar/2026 02:46 PM
Question
:
Hi,
Would council accept a tender submission for construction of the sports fields only?
We are a civil contractor that speacialises in sports field construction, hence do not construct buildings/pavilions and most, if not all, of our competitors are the same.
Thanks
Answered on 05/Mar/2026 02:27 PM
:
The tender must cover the entire scope of works, including both the pavilion and the sports fields. If unable to undertake the pavilion construction, partnering with a builder who can complete that portion and submitting a joint tender is perfectly acceptable.
10/Mar/2026 12:16 PM
Question
:
Hi,
Could council please confirm that the bored pier foundations of the pavilion building are unreinforced?
The note on drawing S2 of the structural drawings reads "mass concrete" with no reinforcement details.
Thanks
Answered on 11/Mar/2026 01:55 PM
:
All bored piers can be un-reinforced up until depths of 1.8m.
Piers deeper than 1.8m, shall have 4-N12 vertical bars full length of pier.

Question
:
Hi,
Line item 18.5.9 in the Sports fields BoQ is for 7 shoe grates, one for each pedestrian and vehicle access gate for the synthetic field.
The Hauraton grates noted in the specification are 500mm x 1000mm and the FMCG grates noted in the specification are 1200mm x 900mm.
Does council expect multiple grates to be installed at each of the 4m wide vehicle access gates? If so, what arrangement would be expected? Coverage of entire gate width or just for wheel alignment?
Thanks
Answered on 18/Mar/2026 04:37 PM
:
The shoe grates will need to cover the majority of the gates.
Please ignore the Hauraton product as this is not a shoe cleaning product. This is an error on our end.
The FMCG grates are an appropriate product. You will need 3 grates for each of the 4m wide vehicle access gates. We did not indicate enough in the BoQ, therefore the new total should be 11, instead of 7.
13/Mar/2026 10:51 AM
Question
:
Hi,
There are 2 vehicle access gates for field 1 in drawing SE_11825_F200 (northeast and southwest corners) not noted on the BoQ.
Could council please confirm the dimensions of these?
Thanks.
Answered on 16/Mar/2026 02:27 PM
:
Councils Response – The 2 vehicle access gates to field 1 are 4m wide each as noted on drawing A1.02.

Question
:
Item 2.5 on the Pricing Schedule details - Treatment of contaminated soil. Removal of any adverse soil condition, Hygienist report and attendance.
The Geotechnical Report appears to be silent on contaminated soil. The Specification discusses control measures if applicable.
Please advise what works should be included in this line item.
Answered on 16/Mar/2026 02:29 PM
:
Councils response -
Item 2.5 of the Pricing Schedule is included as a latent condition allowance to address any unforeseen contaminated or adverse soil conditions that may be encountered during construction.
Tenderers are to allow for:
• Management of contaminated soil only if encountered,
• Implementation of appropriate control measures in accordance with the Specification and relevant legislation, and
• Engagement of a suitably qualified hygienist and associated reporting where required.
No known contaminated soil works are currently identified. Any works under this item would be subject to confirmation and direction by Council should such conditions be encountered.
13/Mar/2026 01:48 PM
Question
:

- 1no. scoreboard
The BoQ states:
18.5.7 - semi-permanent soccer goal set
18.3.3 - 2no.scoreboard
and no line item for 4th officials shelters.
Thanks
