The Opportunity

Bounded by the Great Barrier Reef to the east and sandstone wilderness in the west, Livingstone Shire is located within the Fitzroy Region of Central Queensland and covers 11,800 square kilometres on the Capricorn Coast. The major urban townships of Yeppoon and Emu Park are where the majority of the population reside, our beautiful rural areas include Byfield, Cawarral, The Caves, Stanage, Marlborough, Glenlee and Glendale.

Council services a population of 40,000. Our major industries include retail, tourism, education and training, health care and social assistance, construction and agriculture.

Livingstone Shire Council is seeking to source suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the design and construction of an amenities block located on Fisherman’s Beach – Great Keppel Island Works Contract requirements.

The project scope includes the provision of competent, construction qualified and other staff to undertake various construction related works for Livingstone Shire Council within the terms and conditions of the Contract.

Can i confirm that Council is specifically looking for proprietary prefabricated design such as the ones noted in section 1.2.1. and 1.2.2. in Appendix A, rather than an architect designed bespoke amenities custom designed to suit the site?

Council confirms that Tilt Panel concrete construction is mandatory. No other prefab methods are accepted by Council at this time.

Please be advised that the closing date and time for Tender 2024.022 - Design & Construct GKI Fisherman's Beach Amenities has been extended as follows:

1. Closing time for questions from Tenderers - Thursday 12th December 2024, 2:00pm

2. Closing time for the Tender - Thursday, 19th December 2024, 2:00pm

Please also note that this extends the time for award of the tender until January 2025 and Council will not be able to advise Tenderers until this has been completed.
