Thank you for your query, please refer to the below information.

Current count of staff eligible for salary packaging: 1,967

Count of staff with current novated lease payroll deductions: 136

No other salary packaging options currently being undertaken by staff.

Can the University please provide some guidance for supporting information suppliers may want to include in our response.

Within the Central Queensland University document Salary_Packaging – Part C, Schedule A – Response Schedules, Section 10: Value-add, can the University please confirm whether the two (2) A4 page limit applies solely to the Supplier’s overview of value-adds accompanying their services? Additionally, can the Supplier provide supplementary, succinct, documentation to support decision-making for other sections of Part C?

Can you please provide a response to the following questions to assist us with our tender response:

1. Can you please advise if Central Queensland University is intending to appoint one provider on a sole provider basis, or multiple providers as part of a panel arrangement?

2. Will Central Queensland University look to transition existing leases to a new provider under the new contract?

3. We note the reference to “Operating and Novated Leases” in your Request Summary Report. Can you please confirm that this tender is for novated leasing and does not include any fleet or tool of trade vehicles?

4. We note your requirement to salary package computers in your Request Summary Report. While the ATO allows laptops to be packaged as an ‘otherwise deductible’ benefit, it does not allow computers to be packaged. Can you please provide more information regarding this benefit item?

Please see the below responses:

1. CQU is open to appointing a panel of a maximum of 3 providers for the convenience of our Employees.

2. Existing leases will remain under their current lease for the remainder of the term by default.

3. CQU confirms that the scope of services exclude fleet and tool of trade vehicles.

4. Yes the ability to salary package laptops for work purposes would be appreciated. We supply desktops to our staff (and some laptops) however with the increase with working from home, staff may wish to salary sacrifice additional technology to set up at home offices – laptops plus other office paraphernalia as acceptable.
